The Quest has a 256 Color, high resolution, transflective TFT display and a flip up antenna equipped with a 12-Channel WAAS GPS receiver, which will supply position accuracy up to 9 feet* and is powered by a Li-ion rechargeable battery for up to 20 hours of use. Pre-installed is the Americas AutoRoute basemap that will cover major highways, interstates, larger lakes and rivers across North and South America. In addition, the Quest also has 115 megabytes of memory that is ready to accept maps from the supplied Mapsource City Select North America CD or from just about any of Garmin's MapSource CD-ROMs. When the City Select North America CD is loaded to the Quest, it can provide turn-by-turn voice directions through the supplied 12-volt cigarette lighter with speaker, just enter the address or Point of Interest and the Quest will get you there. The Mapsource City Select CD has coverage for the entire United States, major Canadian cities, as well as coverage for Puerto Rico. The Quest can also sort multiple destinations to give you the most efficient route through your points, allow you to customize road segments and avoid areas, and also with the push of one button will route you home with the "One-Button Home" feature. The Quest is waterproof to IPX7 standards(submersible in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes) and other features include 500 waypoints and 10,000 track points and a USB interface for fast Mapsource downloads.
