highways, or VORs from nearby towns. And because the GPSMAP 295 is
CD-compatible, you enjoy almost unlimited mapping utility. Load city
specific data into your GPSMAP 295 from a GARMIN MapSource CD, transfer
the unit to your car, and navigate to a restaurant or business address
on the ground as easily as you follow a flightplan in the air (It does
not provide turn by turn directions however). Like all GARMIN
portables, the GPSMAP 295 is completely user configurable. You can even
split the screen to keep an eye on an HSI graphic while watching your
progress on a moving map. The GPSMAP 295 also offers installation
options. Mount it on the yoke for convenient one-thumb operation. Or
attach it to the glareshield in a heads-up configuration. Either way,
you'll find the unit is a wealth of information, simple to use, and
easy on the eyes. The GPSMAP 295 also features NMEA and Garmin
interfaces, 4" diagonal high contrast 16 color LCD, and 2.5 hour
