The Furuno 1723 NavNet network radar system is excellent for 20' to
30' boats. The 1723 comes with a 2.2 kw, 18" radome and a beautiful 7"
sunlight viewable VGA display. The radome antenna has the ability to
adjust the rotation speed based on the range in use, 30rpm in short
range and 24rpm in mid to long ranges, which allows a faster refresh of
the display when on a shorter range. With the 1723 you can set up
target or echo trails with selectable time intervals and you can set
Watchman Mode for security and saftey.
Furno 1723 NavNet Options
Since the 1723 Radar is a NavNet system you can turn the system into a
fully capable network system. NavNet systems can add additional
displays, echosounder, and a WAAS GPS chartplotter, that can all be
viewed together with a split screen display or independantly. To turn
the system into a fully capable Chartplotter just add on a BBWGPS
antenna, you can also overlay the radar data on the chartplotter(PG500R
Heading Sensor required). The addition of the BBFF1 black box
fishfinder and a transducer, you get a 600 Watt echosounder with dual
frequency capability, 50kHz for deep water and 200kHz for shallow water
use.
As an added bonus, every NavNet unit comes standard with an infrared
remote control. This remote control allows for operation of the unit
from a distance, with similar control functions as found on the unit
directly.
